On November 27-28 our institute hosted a delegation from Shandong University of Science and Technology (SDUST) in China.
During the visit, Prof. Stanisław Prusek, Director of GIG and Dr Lianjun Chen Vice-director of State Key Laboratory of Mining Disaster Prevention and Control of Shandong University of Science and Technology signed the “Memorandum of Understanding” between both institutions. The propose of this agreement is to promote cooperation and the advancement of academic and educational exchanges.
State Key Laboratory of Mining Disaster Prevention and Control of Shandong University of Science and Technology was founded in 1996 and is one of the first key laboratories in Shandong Province. The Laboratory has been built and opened with the standard of state key laboratories, and authorized as state key laboratory (breeding base) co-founded by Shandong Province and the Ministry of Science and Technology. Supported by multi-disciplines (Mining Engineering, Safety Science and Engineering, Geological Recourses and Engineering, Control Science and Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering etc.) of Shandong University of Science and Technology (SDUST), the key laboratory conducts researches in scientific fields of Mining Pressure and Ground Control, Prevention and Control of Mine Water Disaster, Monitoring and Informatization of Mine Disasters etc.
