16.09.2018, on the occasion of the “European Car Free Week” and the “European Mobility Week”, the Central Mining Institute together with the city of Opole were promoting activities for the improvement of air quality, realised as part of the project Air Tritia, INTERREG CE 1101. The educational stand established by Air Tritia project partners allowed both the children and adults of Opole to familiarise themselves with the operation of specialist measuring apparatus for the measurement of the particle size distribution of pollutants in air. An educational quiz with prizes was prepared for children.
“Healthy Air - Info Day” is an event that aims to explain issues related to air quality. The event is organised as part of the project AIR TRITIA CE 1101. The participants in this project also included the city of Opole. The Central Mining Institute was the organiser of the “Healthy Info Day”, with the support of the city of Opole.
A presentation stand was set up during the event, where GIG employees demonstrated the operation of the apparatus designed to determine aerosol concentration distribution and showed the results of measurements performed near high-traffic roads.
