The Stage 2 Audit of the Central Mining Institute’s Integrated Management System resulted in the issuing of certificate no. JBS - 54/10/2020, which confirms the conformity of the system with the requirements of standards PN-EN ISO 9001:2015-10, PN-EN ISO 14001:2015-09 and PN-ISO 45001:2018-06. The certificate is valid until 4th June 2021.
The Stage 2 Audit concerning the IMS certificate was carried out in a remote manner by the auditors of the Polish Centre for Testing and Certification (PCBC) in June 2020.
The PCBC report states that GIG fulfils all the requirements of the aforementioned standards. The auditors found no non-conformances and praised a number of positive aspects, such as:
- the very high level of the conducted research and development work, confirmed by the obtained patents and awards on a national and global scale,
- the clear Mission and Vision of the Institute,
- the good documentation of the activities conducted as part of individual processes,
- the considerable involvement of the GIG management and personnel of all ranks in the minimisation of factors characterised by harmful influence on the environment.
It was emphasised that the Central Mining Institute has established, implemented and maintains an Integrated Management System compliant with the reference criteria. It was confirmed that the IMS is capable of satisfying the relevant requirements, achieving the expected results and fulfilling its established goals.
