On March 13, 2025, the Polish-Mongolian Economic Forum was held in Warsaw, an important point of the official visit of the President of Mongolia to Poland. The event was opened by the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda and the President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh. The Forum was attended by representatives of the Central Mining Institute - National Research Institute, director Jarosław Zagórowski and doctor Jacek Skiba.
Mongolia is a dynamically developing country, based mainly on rich natural resources, where the mining industry is a priority sector of the economy. Hence the interest in the achievements and competences of the Central Mining Inspectorate, both in the field of mining and post-mining areas.
During the session, a face-to-face meeting took place with the Mongolian Minister of Education Mr Naranbayar Purevsuren. The subject of the meeting was the initiation of mutual cooperation in science and research, a training of Mongolian engineering professionals and the support of the Mongolian mining industry with the almost 100-year-old multidisciplinary know-how held by Central Mining Institute -National Research Institute (GIG-PIB).
