The automated acceleration transducer calibration system was purchased in response to the growing client demand for top-quality calibration services performed quickly for a large number of transducers. The calibration process is fully automated, and a typical calibration time does not exceed 90 s for a standard test. The newly-purchased system also enables vibration transducer calibration in a broader frequency range, from 0.1 Hz to 15 kHz. Thanks to this, GIG will possess the first Laboratory in Poland capable of providing services in such a broad frequency range.
Employees of the GIG Laboratory of Technical Acoustics have undergone training conducted by a representative of the American company The Modal Shop, Inc. and by representatives of the EC Test Systems Sp. z o.o. company.
The GIG Laboratory of Technical Acoustics has had PCA accreditation no. AP006 in such fields as mechanical vibrations since 1997. The vibration transducers are calibrated according to standard ISO 16063-21. The newly-purchased measuring system fully meets the requirements of the PCA accreditation.
