Jan Bondaruk, D.Sc. Eng., the GIG Deputy General Director for Environmental Engineering, took part in the Polish delegation led by Grzegorz Tobiszowski, Deputy Minister of Energy, and Marek Magierowski, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, that visited India from the 15th to the 17th of January, 2018.
The objective of the visit was to strengthen the bilateral and economic cooperation of both countries. At the Poland-India Business Forum, Minister Tobiszowski stressed that Polish experts could offer professional support, the exchange of knowledge and experience as well as the supply of modern technological solutions in the field of mining to their Indian partners. He also emphasised that Silesia holds significant potential for the development of economic cooperation with foreign partners. One of the results of the meeting in India was the cooperation agreement signed in Kolkata between the Silesian Voivodeship and the state of West Bengal in terms of economy, science, technology and promotion.
