Project description:
The aim of the project is to expand methodological knowledge for the practical implementation of multi-hazard analyses, at the scale of the mining district, in correlation with the main types of post-mining hazards.

As a result of the project, methodologies will be developed to support spatial planning in post-mining areas in order to reduce the adverse effects and risks resulting from the closure of coal mines. They will be tested under real conditions in selected post-mining areas and adapted to the specific needs of local authorities in various European countries. The project will develop a procedure to facilitate and improve the use of the resulting methodology by local authorities.

Source of financing:
This project has received co-funding from the Research Fund for Coal and Steel.
