Laboratory of Mine Ventilation and Mine Air-Conditioning

We offer research-service works in the following areas:

  • ventilation methods including:
    • projects of ventilation of mines, industrial facilities and buildings,

    • analyses of the costs of ventilation along with the development of ways to reduce them,

    • expert opinions on the elimination of methane, dust, fire and radiation hazards with ventilation means,

    • development of main fans characteristics by the PN-70G-04161 standard, together with an analysis of the stability and efficiency of their work,

    • tests of gas migration in the excavation using tracer gas Sf 6,

      - projects of separate ventilation systems,

    • projects of tunnel ventilation in the course of their drilling and during operation,

    • development of potential mine schemes, along with their analysis;

  • tests on the tightness of objects using tracer gas Sf 6;
  • energy tests of boiler fans, pumps, compressors;
  • thermal tests of energy devices;
  • mine air-conditioning methods including:
    • preparation of maps of the initial temperature isolines of rocks for the levels and seams projected for operation,

    • assessment of the geothermal conditions based on the maps of the initial temperature isolines of rocks for the current and projected operation levels and coal seams,

    • forecasting climate hazards in excavations with separate ventilation and in excavations with streamlined air currents,

    • development of model climate solutions for drilled voids with separate ventilation,

    • development of effective methods for the prevention of climate hazard for operational areas,

    • research and implementations of solutions improving the efficiency of the operation of mining refrigeration devices,
